Local Health Fellows

Pfizer Local Health Fellows was launched in 2009 as an avenue for Pfizerians to use their professional skills and abilities to help improve access to healthcare in local communities. Working with NGOs and volunteering with Pfizer’s Care-A-Van, they offer medical services to communities in semi-urban and rural areas around Malaysia, often spending days in remote locations. To-date, Pfizer Local Health Fellows have carried out health education, disaster preparedness talks and health screenings in Sarawak, Kelantan, Sabah and Perak, with the support of various Family Planning Associations, like-minded patient support groups and Persatuan Pakar Doktor Malaysia.
