Pfizer's community initiatives in Malaysia:

  Pfizer Malaysia's Student Recognition Programme

The Pfizer Malaysia Health Non Governmental Organisation Partnership is an initiative to complement the Malaysian government towards improving health education in Malaysia by way of empowering health related non-governmental organizations to carry out projects which will benefit the society as a whole.

The Malaysian Hospice Council was the first health related NGO to benefit from this initiative since its commencement in 2004. Since then, many more grants have been awarded to other health NGOs based on the respective projects' ability to demonstrate maximum impact and reach to the public with a strong health and educational focus.

Successful collaborations include:-

Year 2005
  • Malaysian Parkinson Disease Association to publish the Bahasa Malsysia and Mandarin version of its official book "Understanding Parkinson's Disease".
  • Penang Family Planning Association for their outreach programme to promote the awareness of sexual and reproductive health among the youth.
  • Kelantan Family Planning Association for a pap smear campaign specifically for marginalised women in ten rural areas.
  • Persatuan Mobiliti Selangor & Kuala Lumpur to develop and interactive website for people living with physical disability.
  • Hospis Malaysia for palliative care training activities.
    Year 2006
