The Pfizer Malaysia-IJN Foundation Patient
Assistance Programme is a partnership between Pfizer Malaysia and the
IJN Foundation with an objective to help needy heart patients
seeking treatment at the
Institut Jantung Negara.
Every year, RM200,000 is contributed to finance Intensive Care Unit
(ICU), drug and food costs, surgical fees, post-operation visits and,
if required, angiograms. In addition to bearing surgery costs, Pfizer
also absorbs the cost of drugs prescribed to patients for a period
of two months after their surgery.
Beneficiaries of the Pfizer Fund are Malaysian adult patients of IJN
who qualify based on criteria outlined by IJN in relation to medical
conditions and financial status. Surgeries covered by the fund are
Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), valve surgeries and angioplasty
procedures.
